Katrina Kaif scoops up a different hit: Katrina Kaif is known as the princess of popcorn and it’s not for nothing. The actress may not be very famed for her impeccable acting but thanks to her lovely screen presence and luck factor, she has dug up quite a few hits in her career.

And her latest screen outing ‘Tees Maar Khan’ has also been a hit. The film opened explosively at the box office with its first weekend collection of nearly Rs 50 crore. Though its 2nd weekend collections dropped staggeringly, its mammoth opening revenue has made it a hit.

However, compared to the 1st weekend, there was a near 80% drop in its 2nd weekend collection that registered a paltry Rs 7.25 crore. The film’s total 10 day collections have hovered around Rs 56.50 crore which is not bad.

Nevertheless, the film is a disappointment and was heavily lashed by the critics as well the audience who were desiring to watch a good movie over the New Year. TMK is likely to end up with a neat Rs 60 crore.

On the other hand, this week’s new release ‘Bhoot and Friends’ had a bare occupancy of 2-3%. Earlier films like ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ and ‘Isi Life Mein’ registered poor collections and have already flown out of many cinema halls.
