Brit-Indian hottie Katrina Kaif, who, after the clash between Sallu and SRK on her birthday 3 years ago, had stopped celebrating the D-day in Mumbai, this year out of the blue, celebrated the special day in the city with both the Khans.
Katrina Kaif: Reportedly, the actress, who turned 27 yesterday on July 16, first met Salman on the sets of his upcoming film ‘Bodyguard’ in Bandra at 12:30 am.
There she was greeted by Salman’s near and dear ones including the actor’s younger sister Alvira Khan and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.
After spending quality time with Sallu and his family members, Kat drove to Shahrukh’s Mannat at 5 am, where she received a warm welcome.
Talking about Kat’s D-day celebrations, a source, as quoted in the Hindustan Times, informed, “Katrina arrived at the sets in Bandra around 12am and Salman reached around 12.30am. Some members of his family were at the venue when Kat arrived and everyone welcomed her warmly. “Salman looked very happy to be there. Clearly, they are very important to each other and enjoy each other’s company.”
Salman arranged a lunch party for Katrina
Seems like the meeting on the sets of ‘Bodyguard’ was not enough for Salman and Katrina on the latter’s b’day, as according to sources, the actor had even arranged a lunch party for the actress in his Galaxy Apartments later in day.
The menu of the lunch party thrown at Sallu’s dwelling included kheema-pav, rajma-chawal and other delicacies.
“For once Kat ate to her hearts content with no diet constraints. Later in the evening, she spent time with her personal assistant Sandhya and her team planning the look test for her film Ek Tha Tiger. Today Katrina will spend the day doing her look test. Salman Khan is on his farm at Panvel
“And though he was expected to join Kat for the test, he is likely to rehearse for a song for his next release Bodyguard instead,'' revealed a source.
Kat’s latest release ZNMD faring well at the box-office
As per box-office reports, Zoya Akhtar’s latest release ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, starring Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin in lead roles, is faring well at the box-office.
Appreciating the actress, a close friend of hers said, “The adage unlucky in love, but lucky in career, seems to be working for Kat. Her relationships with Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor ran into rough weather, but she has managed a very good run at the box office.
“Even in the case of ZNMD, there are technically three heroes Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol but Kat is being seen as the fourth hero. She has a huge draw with metro crowds.''
